We asked foodie and blogger Jenn Lee to share with us some of her favourite collagen inspired recipes. This week it’s all about treating yourself to an indulgent yet healthy chocolate collagen smoothie. Busting with antioxidants and that all-important collagen protein to help support healthy skin, hair and nails.
1 scoop Planet Paleo pure collagen
1 ¾ cups nut mylk
½ a frozen avocado
½ a frozen banana
1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
2 tablespoons your favourite nut or nut-alt butter (coconut butter & almond butter work especially well)
1 pitted date
1 tablespoon chia seeds
¼ cup steamed-then-frozen cauliflower for added creaminess and nutrients
Optional: a teaspoon pearl powder and bee pollen to sprinkle on top
Blend for 1-2 minutes on high. For a smoother consistency, add more liquid; for a thicker consistency, use less liquid.
Top it off with a sprinkle of bee pollen for extra immune-boosting properties.
