Happy National Baking week. Time to get in the kitchen and whip up some delicious baked goods, and we have a proper treat for you this week courtesy of Liz at Well Nourished Club. Banana bread is definitely one of our favourite treats, and this version is the perfect bake for the season.
Liz has created a super nutrient-dense banana bread, with minimal refined carbohydrates and no added sugar. This loaf packs in lots of goodness in the form of spices, seeds, veggies and of course our collagen powder, meaning this is no ordinary banana bread. It is rich in protein, fibre, vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients and makes the perfect healthy breakfast, or snack at any time of day. It also couldn’t be easier to make, you just need one big mixing bowl and a loaf tin to whip up this delicious bake.
Our pure collagen powder is tasteless and odourless so blends easily into drinks and food. It is a great choice for all-round support for hair, skin and nails, gut health, joint support and so much more, and a perfect way to add extra nutrition to your baked goods.
Supercharged Banana Bread
100g Gluten-Free or Wholemeal Flour
50g Mixed Milled Seeds
3 Ripe Bananas
1 Large Carrot Finely grated
1 Tbsp Cinnamon
1.5 Tbsp Coconut Oil
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 Tbsp Planet Paleo Collagen Powder
1. Preheat oven to 180C
2. Place all ingredients into one big bowl and mix together well.
3. Bake for 25-30 minutes
Enjoy slathered with grass-fed butter, or nut butter. You can also slice and store in the freezer, but don’t be surprised if this one disappears quickly!
