It’s time we introduced our new grass-fed Gelatine powder. For thousands of years gelatine rich foods have been a key part of the diet of traditional cultures all over the world. Gelatine is a versatile culinary ingredient, and we will be sharing some fun recipes and ways you can use the product here on the blog over the next few months, like this delicious chocolate mousse recipe.

Gelatine is a great source of collagen-building amino acids which are vital for the health of our skin, hair and nails, joints, digestive lining and bones. You can get gelatine in your diet if you reguarly consume bone broth, but let’s face it that’s a pretty long and labour intensive process, and if you don’t have the time or energy to make it then we’ve done the hard work for you and created a product that is easy to use and add to your diet.

Gelatine provides similar health benefits to our collagen powders, but the main difference is in how you use the products. Our hydrolysed collagen powders dissolve smoothly in liquid, meaning you can stir them into just about anything without affecting the taste or texture of your drinks or recipes.  Our pure gelatine powder will gel and thicken, so it’s best for creative culinary recipes like fruit snacks, healthy sweets, jelly and thickening soups and stews.

Chocolate Mousse Recipe


• 1 Tablespoon Planet Paleo Pure Gelatine
• 1 Cup Full Fat Coconut Milk
• 2 Tablespoons Cacao Powder
• 2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
• 2 Tablespoons Hot Water


1. Add coconut milk, cacao, and maple syrup to a saucepan over
medium heat and whisk.
2. Combine gelatine and hot water in small bowl
3. Add gelatine mix to the saucepan and whisk until dissolved
4. Transfer into 2-4 small serving dishes (e.g. ramekins or cups) and
refrigerate for 30-45 minutes.
5. Top with fresh berries and coconut flakes and enjoy!
