Looking to add a super nourishing latte to your new working-at-home routine, then we have just the recipe for you. Our friend Annabelle from Nutrition by Annabelle has created some delicious collagen lattes and has kindly let us share one of the recipes here today. So what are you waiting for…go and brew up this chilli chocolate latte!
Missing that store-bought latte, or looking to add something nutritious to snuggle up with on the sofa, or give you a pre-afternoon lift? This chilli chocolate latte is just what you need. Chilli and chocolate are the perfect combination. If you are sensitive to cacao, or chilli and find them too stimulating then drink this mid-afternoon rather than before bed.
Cayenne is a warming spice, great for circulation and supporting our immune system function due to its vitamin and capsaicin content which may help with respiratory symptoms and congestion. Collagen is vitally important for our gut lining, and as around 70% of our immune system is located in the gut, it’s important to support the gut to protect our digestive system and immunity. Collagen also adds an amazing frothiness to lattes too.
Chili Chocolate Latte
A pinch of Cayenne Pepper (you could add more but it packs a punch so careful!)
1/2 tsp Cinnamon powder
1 Tbsp Cocoa/Cacao powder
1 Tbsp Collagen powder (Or use our Cacao Magic Collagen powder and omit the cocoa too)
1 Medjool Date, pitted (or another type of date, but soak in hot water for 20 mins if not soft)
50ml warm Oat Milk
250ml boiled Water
